We are seeking motivated and safety-focused Production Operators to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy earthmoving equipment to safely move, load, and transport materials in alignment with daily production targets. This role is ideal for experienced operators as well as motivated trainees holding necessary industry tickets.
Key Responsibilities : Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy mining equipment, including articulated haul trucks, loaders, mechanical shovels, and dozers.Production Targets: Meet or exceed daily material-movement and haulage schedules while maintaining optimal fuel efficiency and cycle times.Safety & Compliance: Conduct thorough pre-start equipment inspections and reporting. Adhere strictly to onsite safety regulations, environmental compliance policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Site Maintenance: Assist with basic site-keep activities, including watering down declines, scaling hazards, and clearing debris to ensure safe haul roads.Communication: Coordinate seamlessly with Dispatch, Shift Supervisors, and Mine Planning teams via two-way radio to ensure safe traffic flow and rapid resolution of operational issues.
Required Qualifications/Skills : Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating heavy mobile equipment within a mining, civil construction, or heavy industrial environment (Highly preferred).Licensing & Certifications:Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.Valid Articulated Haul Truck Ticket (e.g., R2) or equivalent heavy equipment competencies.Surface or Underground Mining Induction certification.Senior First Aid Certificate (Asset).Skills: Strong physical fitness, spatial awareness, mechanical aptitude, and a clean safety record.Roster Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work a continuous 2-and-2 roster, consisting of alternating 12-hour day and night shifts.Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical evaluation, including a clear drug and alcohol screening.
